Profile In addition to serving as head coach of the Pulverizers, Jared also serves as the commissioner and webmaster of the UFFL (Ultimate Fantasy Football League). He has participated in fantasy football contests since 1998, and in online fantasy football leagues since 2001, but had never won a championship until the 2005 season (with the exception of several online pickem contests - one of which actually ended in a tie). He went on to win a second consecutive league title in 2006, and has also won two UFFL: Postseason Edition contests on the Sporting News website. In 2011, Jared defeated the Sisyphean Endeavors to win his third UFFL Bowl - tying The North Star Sledgehammers of 10,000 Lakes head coach Jay Klinkhammer for most championships in league history. In 2012, he served as the head coach of the Southern Division in the fifth-annual UFFL Pro Bowl, losing 173.39-161.40. He also served as the Northern Division head coach in the 2015 Pro Bowl, losing 161.14-93.54, before earning the victory in the 2017 Pro Bowl, 151.13 to 138.84, as the Southern Division head coach. In 2018, Jared defeated True-North to win UFFL Bowl XVII, giving him the most championships in league history. Jared works several times a week as a Hot Off the Wire Analyst (independent contractor) with USA TODAY Fantasy Sports, providing news and analysis for fantasy baseball and football players. In the past, this job also entailed covering fantasy basketball, hockey and NASCAR. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, with a master's degree in elementary education, after having earned a bachelor of arts degree in print journalism from Temple University, with a minor in political science. A native of Philadelphia, he is an avid Phillies, Flyers, Eagles and 76ers fan.
