Profile An avid Packers, Bucks and Brewers fan from Hubertus, Wisconsin, Jim never passes up the opportunity to remind people that he cheers for a professional football team that has won 13 world championships. He has also won a football pickem championship, as well as an XFL fantasy football championship, in the past. In 2004, his Do You Believe In Miracles franchise even won the title in Grace Cloud's SLREG league, hosted by Yahoo! Sports. However, he was not able to duplicate this type of success - especially in the postseason - in the UFFL. The 2005 campaign could have been different, as Douglas finished the regular season with a 10-3 record, best in the UFFL, and carried the #1 seed into the playoffs. However, his team was upset by Cheeko's Chiefs in the second round of the playoffs. Jim barely missed the postseason in 2006, as a result of losing a tiebreaker. Another strong regular season effort in 2007 ended in disappointment, as his team was knocked out of championship contention in the first round, by the eighth-seeded A-Peterson Fan Club, led by Jay Klinkhammer. Jim's closest brush with championship glory came in 2008, when he lost to A-Peterson Fan Club in UFFL Bowl VII. Douglas was one of the league's original owners, and a former regular chatter from the old CBS SportsLine chat rooms. He was the only participant in the UFFL who had extensive prior experience with Fleaflicker before the league relocated there for the 2008 season, having compiled a 17-12-0 overall record (17-9-0 regular season, 0-3-0 playoffs) during the 2006 and 2007 seasons. As competitive as CheeseWhiz was through the end of the 2013 season, they never experienced another winning season before Douglas' official retirement announcement Aug. 14, 2021. In fact, the team only qualified for the championship bracket once during that span (2017), upsetting the top-seeded Fight'n Nut-Tooths in the first round of the playoffs before dropping their final two postseason games. Through the end of the 2020 season, Douglas had a combined overall record of 160-223-0 in Fleaflicker fantasy football (141-196-0 regular season, 19-27-0 playoffs). He also served as the co-commissioner of the Best Damned Fantasy League on Fleaflicker from 2006 to 2019.
