Tony DelSignore

Profile

Tony joined the Ultimate Fantasy Football League Aug. 1, 2010, when he replaced Roy Bellamy following his third retirement announcement. He made it all the way to UFFL Bowl IX in his rookie campaign, where he lost to The Catch by only 5.91 fantasy points.

Tony is an avid New York Yankees, Los Angeles Lakers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Florida Gators fan, and worked alongside former Washington Redskins linebacker Eddie Mason as a personal trainer for several years. He is the nephew of Football Gal owner Mozelle Meyers and also participates in the Fantasy Baseball Challenge league (The Bronx Bombers). He also competed recently in the inaugural season of the Fantasy Hockey Challenge and the 2011-12 edition of the UFFL Postseason Challenge.

On Aug. 22, 2011, Tony retired due to other personal commitments. However, his absence from the league was short-lived, as he announced that he was returning for the 2012 season on May 25. He assumed control of the Craigntx franchise, which had previously been operated by Craig Lechner. DelSignore made a second appearance in the UFFL Bowl in 2015, when he lost a closely-contested battle to N2deep.

During the 2016 season, Tony set league records for most regular-season victories (12) and fantasy points accumulated (2,001.79) in a single campaign, en route to securing the No. 1 seed in the championship bracket. However, his hopes of winning a league title were dashed when he was eliminated from the playoffs in the first round by the eighth-seeded HB2 Defiance.

DelSignore decided to step away from fantasy sports for the second time Feb. 2, 2017, not long after leading the Southern Division to victory in the ninth-annual UFFL Pro Bowl. However, he returned to the league for his third tour of duty shortly before the start of the 2020 season.
